Lagos State’s Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced a reward of N10 million for the overall best-graduating student of Lagos State University, Olaniyi Olawale, for 2024.
The recipient scored 4.98 Cumulative Grade Point Average from the maximum 5 points.
The Governor announced the gift on Thursday at the university’s 27th convocation, according to a tweet by Jubril Gawat, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media.
Olawale, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98 in Accounting Education, received the gift in recognition of his outstanding academic achievement.
Gawat wrote, “FLASH: Governor of Lagos State, Mr #jidesanwoolu has announced a token of N110m for the overall best graduating student of Lagos State University (#LASUOfficial), Olaniyi Mubaraq Olawale, Accounting Education, who graduated with a CGPA of 4.98.
“Mr Governor made this announcement today at the Lagos State University (LASU) Grand Finale of the 27th Convocation Ceremony.”
