Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, Business mogul and father of musician Davido, has donated N1 billion to the Centenary Endowment Fund of the Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Church.
The donation, announced during a thanksgiving service in honour of the Osun State’s Governor Ademola Adeleke, was in memory of his late mother, Esther Adeleke, who held the revered title of Senior Mother in Israel within the church.
Speaking at the event, Adeleke, the Chairman of Pacific Group, expressed his deep respect and love for his mother and the church community by contributing to the Centenary Endowment Fund.
“In honour of our late mother, senior mother in Israel, late Mrs. Esther Adeleke, I donate N1 billion to the centenary endowment fund of the C & S Church,” he said.
The event also featured a significant announcement by the Baba Aladura and Prelate of the Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim (ESOCS) Church Worldwide, Dr. David Bob-Manuel, who revealed that the church would celebrate its centenary (100 years) in 2025.
The high point of the thanksgiving was a lecture delivered by the Deputy Baba Aladura, Elder Dr. H.O. Demuren, who commended the Adeleke family for their longstanding dedication to philanthropy and service.
“The Adeleke family and their members are rare gems. They serve the Lord and humanity in humility and consistency,” Elder Demuren stated.
