Nigerians are to pay more for their country’s passport effective from 1st September.
The Federal Government approved the upward review of the fees for acquiring the passport, according to a statement released on Wednesday night, August 21.
According to the statement by the Nigerian Immigration Service, with the review, a 32-page Passport booklet with five-year validity previously charged at N35,000 now costs N50,000.
The 64-page Passport booklet with 10-year validity has jumped from N70,000 to N100,000.
However, according to the statement, passport fees will still cost the old price outside the country.
