The Badagry General Hospital has been approved for housemanship training by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
This is expected to elevate medical services in the area and mark a new era for healthcare delivery in Badagry.
The approval allows the hospital to serve as a training ground for newly qualified doctors, enhancing its capacity to support medical education while providing better healthcare services to the community.
Speaking on the development, a stakeholder expressed appreciation for the Governor’s proactive approach, stating, “Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has worked tirelessly to make this a reality, and we are deeply grateful.”
The upgrade of the General Hospital is a timely response to the healthcare needs of the Badagry community.
Many residents have expressed excitement about the development, with hopes that the facility will soon attain the status of a full-fledged teaching hospital.
