Founder and Leader of INRI Spiritual Evangelical Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has continued to warn banks to buckle up to avoid being punished by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Primate Ayodele spoke on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the international headquarters of his church at Ejigbo. He said many banks would face major challenges even as many of them will go under.
The man of God mentioned the banks likely to be affected.
He said, “Some banks will face challenges. Some banks will collapse, Globus Bank, Providus Bank, Keystone Bank, Polaris Bank, WEMA Bank, and Access Bank. They should be careful, they must work assiduously so that they will not have problem with CBN to make CBN to restrain them.”
Primate Ayodele disclosed that Nigerians would be made to pay VAT through the back door, saying that the action will not bring about economic boom.”Meanwhile people will begin to pay indirect VAT on deposits and people’s accounts. This will not make the economy to boom.”
Ayodele disclosed that such VAT would bring about untold hardship to the people. “It will create more hardship. With the new VAT the government is panning, they will create more hardship.”
He also disclosed that Zenith Bank will make a lot of profit this year and would embark on new investment. “Zenith will start a new investment, but Zenith Bank must be careful so that their head Office will not be attacked.
“Now some banks will retrench some of their workers and there will be rancour in First Bank.
