During a Senate committee hearing investigating sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Godswill Akpabio, a heated confrontation occurred between Senator Onyekachi Nwaebonyi and former Minister Oby Ezekwesili.
The Senator from Ebonyi North clashed with the former Minister of Solid Minerals, Ezekwesili, over an ongoing investigation into sexual harassment allegations leveled against the Senate President by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The confrontation occurred as Ezekwesili joined Abiola Akiode, counsel to Akpoti-Uduaghan, and the petitioner, Zubairu Yakubu, at the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions.
Senator Nwaebonyi reportedly insulted Ezekwesili, calling her names like “a fool” and “an insult to womanhood,” amidst an ongoing debate regarding the allegations.
