Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia Central Senatorial District, under the aegis of Renewed Hope Partners (RHP), have unanimously affirmed the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term ticket.
In a communiqué released after its meeting in Umuahia, the Abia Central chapter of the Renewed Hope Partners said their action followed the outcome of the successful APC national summit held on May 22, 2025 at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
The communiqué, which was signed by Pastor Pat Ikechi, (Coordinator) and Secretary, Dr Larry Isaac, declared that the “Renewed Hope Partners, Abia Central pledged to work assiduously for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and other candidates of our great party APC, come 2027 elections.”
Part of the five-point communiqué reads: “Sequel to the successful APC National summit held on the 22nd of May, 2025, at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, the Renewed Hope Partners, Abia Central Senatorial District chapter, unanimously align itself with the vote of confidence passed on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR at the summit.
“This unique vote of confidence is a tacit appreciation of his outstanding and profound achievements, which include increase in the revenue allocations to sub-national governments arising from the removal of fuel subsidy, unification of the exchange rate to ensure optimal performance of the naira at the international exchange market and boosting domestic economy.
“Further, the repayment of the 3.4 billion dollars IMF Loan, the over 100 percent increase in the workers’ salaries, the massive infrastructural investments across the nation, which include the 700 kilometers Lagos to Calabar coastal road, the 1,068 kilometers Sokoto to Badagary Super High way, Tax reforms as well as the Students Loan scheme that provides financial assistance to the students in tertiary institutions among many other lofty achievements.
“We, therefore, join the Progressive Governors Forum, the leadership of the National Assembly, the leadership of our dear party (APC), the Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Benjamin Okezie Kalu CON, whose steadfast zeal crystalized in the formation of Renewed Hope Partners for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, come 2027, our leaders in Abia Central, to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR for a second term to continue his good works.”
Recall that on May 12, 2025, a member of the Governing Board of North East Development Commission (NEDC), Rep Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo, launched the Abia Central Renewed Hope Partners (RHP), during which defectors from PDP, LP and NNPP, were received into APC.
Speaking on the occasioned, Onuigbo, who is also Chairman of Security, Climate Change and Special Intervention Committee of NEDC, noted that the popular acclaim and acceptance of APC is a measure of the public endorsement of the great progressive governance by our smart-working and forward-looking President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He had stated: “The humongous achievements recorded by President Tinubu-led APC administration through the Renewed Hope Agenda, show that experience counts. President Tinubu is, indeed, the leader Nigeria deserves at this present time.”
The former lawmaker, who sponsored Nigeria’s legacy Climate Change Act in the Ninth National Assembly, urged RHP members to “carry the message of the good deeds of our President and hope of greater things to come into various nooks and corner of our zone.”
While commending the Deputy Speaker, Ben Okezie Kalu,for birthing the Renewed Hope Partners and President Tinubu for providing us with a good product, Onuigbo assured that their noble gestures will not be in vain.
“We shall not fail, we shall not falter, rather we must fly on the wings of the initiatives of President Tinubu and his dream of Renewed Hope for all Nigerians,” he declared.
