The Nigerian Press Council (NPC) commends the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE) for a peaceful and highly successful 2025 Biennial Convention which just ended in Enugu, the Enugu State Capital .
In a Press Statement by Dan Ede, the Director of Research and Documentation, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Press Council, Dr. Dili Ezughah, also congratulates Mr. Eze Anaba on his re-election as the President of the Guild.
He described it as an eloquent testimony of his leadership qualities and meritorious services in the past two years.
Dr. Ezughah equally congratulates other elected officials of the Guild, wishing them a successful tenure, while urging a closer cooperation between the Nigerian Guild of Editors and the Nigerian Press Council for the good of the noble journalism profession.
He remarks that ethical compliance remains the key to journalistic integrity and public trust, reiterating the readiness of the Council to promote and maintain the highest professional standards for the Nigerian Press.
