Netizens have been thrown into mourning following reports of the death Skit maker Sanku Olaniyi popularly known as Mrsankucomedy after a car accident
He reportedly died alongside a friend when their car veered into a ditch at Oolo village along Oyo-Ogbomoso expressway on Monday.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday September 1, 2025.
He was rushed to a medical facility in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, for medical attention, only to be pronounced dead.
Sanku began his comedy career in 2021 and rose to fame in 2024 after releasing a freestyle video that garnered over 70,000 views.
Since the news of his death broke, bloggers, influencers and fans have taken to social media platforms like X and Instagram to express their grief.
There were, however, conflicting reports about Sanku’s fate on social media on Monday night.
It was gathered that Sanku’s vehicle veered off the road while in motion and landed in a ditch.
A photo of the skit maker showing him lifeless on the road at the accident scene has since gone viral on social media.
