The Olubadan designate, Oba Rasidi Ladoja has stated that he would be a fulfilled monarch, if Ibadan state being agitated for is actualized during his reign.
Oba Ladoja made this known while receiving the Osun State’s Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke on a courtesy visit at his Bodija residence on Tuesday.
He submitted the creation of Ibadan state as being agitated for would make him a fulfilled man in life
Ladoja said, “Aside achieving other things in life, what is left for me is the actualization of Ibadan state.
“I want this to happen during my reign as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“The creation of Ibadan state is longer overdue. Ibadan with eleven local government areas is big enough for a state.
“Relevant stakeholders and interest groups are working towards its actualization.”
Earlier in his address, Senator Adeleke had congratulated Oba Ladoja on his nomination and approval by Governor Makinde as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
He described the monarch as a man of destiny, noting what he has passed through in life.
He said, “Your resilience and approach to life are responsible for your achievements in life.
“You had once served as Governor, Senator now the Olubadan designate.
“You have weathered many storms. You have come out of all without being injured. That shows resilience.”
