In a video released a few hours ago, the Deputy Director of the Sergeant-at-Arms, Alabi Adedeji, was seen unlocking and declaring the office open after it had remained sealed since her suspension earlier this year.

Natasha, who represents Kogi Central, was suspended in controversial circumstances by the Senate President and other Upper Chamber members.

However, it is not clear whether reopening her office means she has been permitted to resume legislative duties.

The Senate in March 2025 suspended her for six months over alleged misconduct and violation of its rules in her fight with head of the Senate Godswill Akpabio.

Natasha’s suspension followed the recommendation by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, chaired by Senator Neda Imasuen.
