Former Mayor of Blanco, Texas, United States, Mike Arnold, says the Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council, Sa’ad Abubakar III, should be prosecuted at the international court for driving the genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

Arnold was reacting to the Sultan’s recent comments dismissing claims of genocide against Christians in Northern Nigeria.

Arnold, Founder of Africa Arise International, an organisation advocating against the persecution of Christians in sub-Saharan Africa, made the challenge in a post on his X handle on Friday.

The Sultan reacted to anti-Christian genocide claims while he spoke at the General Assembly of the Northern Traditional Rulers’ Council held in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, on Tuesday, saying such reports were false and aimed at causing division among Nigerians.

Responding via his X post, Arnold tweeted:

“I challenge the Sultan of Sokoto to prove he’s not the architect of this genocide.

“That he did not, while serving (the Taliban) in Afghanistan, connect with and recruit AlQaida and other international terrorists groups to Nigeria — where he has provided them safe haven, vast resources and unlimited Christian blood to feed their bloodlust.

“That he is not architect of the reprehensible scheme to advance his sultanate’s long running jihad to establish his demonic sharia death cult over the nation and around the world.

“That he’s not personally enriched by the sale of blood minerals looted from under the killing fields.

“That he’s not in collusion with the Nigerian government.

“(Might as well start trying to do this, in preparation for his forthcoming fraudulent defense case in international court for crimes against humanity.)”
