Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) that the penchant for foreign coach would not lead the nation’s apex football team anywhere.
Primate Ayodele took the stance on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at the international headquarters of his church in Lagos while addressing a mammoth crowd of worshippers.
He said what the NFF should do as a matter of urgency is to employ a local coach and assemble local players for Nigeria to begin to excel in international football scene again.
He stated, “I said it, that this Super Eagles are Chicken Eagles, I said it, they are not going to the World Cup.
“NFF go and employ local Coach, local coach will help you.
“This crop of people, they will not help you, they don’t have anything, go and build new Super Eagles. Are they not going to scatter now, did they make Nigeria proud? Primate Ayodele queried.
