Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has made it clear that politicians are the ones killing Nigeria.
Primate Ayodele took the position during the Adult Thanksgiving of his church and the official inauguration of the new church building at the international headquarters of his church in Lagos on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
He said that what the politicians do is to empower themselves, build mansions, buy cars, travel overseas, without any tangible thing to showcase in terms of governance.
He said there is a lot of waste in government because there is virtually no accountability.
On his part, as a church, he disclosed that he takes boys off the street, cleans them up and empowers them. He maintained that politicians at the grassroots hardly do a thing like that.
Primate Ayodele who recently appended Nnamdi Azikiwe to his name because of the maximum love the Igbos have shown to him, urged President Tinubu to kill corruption before corruption kills Nigerians.
He said, “It is politicians that are killing Nigerians, they don’t do anything, all these politicians, what do they do with free money they have? They don’t do anything, they empower themselves, build houses, buy cars, go overseas. Nigerian politicians are full of waste because there is no accountability, and this system is corrupt.

He said the military is really ready to dislodge the bandits and terrorists if the military are well equipped and motivated.
On the question of genocide and need for christian leaders to speak up, he said
“I can only speak for myself, I don’t belong to CAN, I don’t belong to PFN, I construct the road, put streetlights, enhance the beauty of the estate. We empower members on daily basis, this year alone we have empowered six to seven thousands youths.
“We go to the streets, pick boys, area boys, hooligans, empower them, how many local government chairmen can can do that?
On issue of terrorism and banditry, he said, “If you give these boys equipment they can fight terrorists successfully and destroy them.
On how he feel with the opening of his latest church auditorium and his empowerments, he said, “The best thing for a man is to add value to this life. It is also to impact life
That is what we are doing very day, the essence of building the church is to also make people happy,” he said.
