Yoruba Gospel Singer and Evangelist Bunmi Akinaanu, better known for her hit song “Omije Ojumi,” had been reported dead.
She was 46 years old.
The singer reportedly took ill around 2025, from an undisclosed ailment linked to her leg.
Her demise cames just a day after Pastor Segun Arole asked after her on Instagram.
He said, “Where is Singer Omije Oju mi?. We heard that she was sick and we donated money. You can’t tell us to be praying without knowing her condition. What are the Yoruba Gospel artistes doing about this? People close to her should please update us about her situation. If she needs more money for medical treatment, let us know. This woman must not die.”
Fans and friends have taken to social media to mourn her.
