Today, I had the honor of standing with my esteemed brother monarchs at a historic moment—the inauguration of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs. It was a powerful reminder that when our traditions unite, the future of our people grows stronger.
I warmly congratulate His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, on his inauguration as the pioneer Chairman of the reconstituted Council by His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde. This is a call to leadership rooted in wisdom, fairness, and service.
The decision for the chairmanship to rotate among the Olubadan of Ibadanland, the Alaafin of Oyo, and the Soun of Ogbomosoland reflects our shared heritage, mutual respect, and collective strength. United, we will preserve our culture, strengthen peace, and build lasting progress.
Today, we take another bold step in unity, tradition, and hope for generations to come.
