Sorry, I don’t share some of your line of thoughts in your piece.
The plight Similayi Fubara is presently is a self created one.
I hold that Fubara has allowed himself to be used by the enemies of his benefactor, Nyesom Wike.
One would have expected to be wiser immediately after the lifting of the emergency rule and willy-nilly worked with the Rivers State House of Assembly members by presenting for approval the list of his Commissioners, the Rivers State Budgets for approval and other constitutional infractions committed by him. The òde he is, he’s in the hands of His own enemies not only Wike. They are the ones goading him against himself so to speak.
Wike can be likened to a stump of a tree. Whoever tries to shake it will discover that he is the one shaking.
To me, all the political enemies of Nyesom Wike thought they could upstage him by rallying round Fubara, the Executive Governor of Rivers State but now realised that Fubara is a lightweight politically.
What’s more, Tinubu can never ditch Wike who is in his cabinet and performing very well in the FTC, Abuja and with over 3 millions of votes he still could deliver in the Rivers State. Instead, Tinubu would rather use what Yoruba would call *laipo* for Fubara and the loss of second term in office.
Unfortunately, Fubara, in his crude stubbornness and political naievity, refused to win some of the House of Assembly members to his side. What is more, he foolishly even played into the hands of the Assembly by the constitutional infractions against the constitution he swore to uphold during his inauguration and they are constitutionally required to nail his coffin and heaven will not fall.
That Wike is a godfather and picked Simlaye Fubara against his supporters to be Governor of the Rivers State, and become his benefactor is not the question, the sideline of the House of Assembly members he is supposed to work with is his undoing.
The seizure of their salaries a long shot among other infractions. By the seizure of their salaries among other benefits of their portfolio, Fubara was set to kill House of Assembly members.
One finds it hard for President Tinubu to wash Fubara clean of all allegations of the constitutional infractions committed by Fubara on which the House of Assembly lawmakers are constitutionally bound to act.
I am sorry, I do not envy Gov. Simlaye Fubara the political mess has landed himself in.

Fubara has allowed himself to be used against the enemies of his political boss, Wike. Despite the mediation of Tinubu the President and supposed to be wiser in his second coming, Fubara veered off into those who wrongly advised him not to find a away on how to work with the House of Assembly members and his political enemies.
