The daughter of Nigerian Gospel singer Tope Alabi, Ayomikun, has given birth to her a baby that has turned the music star a grandmother for the first time.
Grandma Tope has described the moment as a dream come true, while expressing pride in her daughter, Ayomikun Alabi.
Breaking the news on Friday, through photos posted on her Instagram page, Ayomikun Alabi announced the arrival of her first, a baby girl.
Ayomikun got married to her husband, Oluwole Bantale in March 2025 in a private ceremony attended by family members and a few friends.
The new mother thanked God for the gift, drawing congratulatory messages from fans, family members, and well-wishers.
The birth makes the baby the first grandchild of Tope Alabi.
Nigerian gospel singer Tope Alabi has shared her joy following the birth of her grandchild.
“I’m eternally grateful to God for this joyful addition to my family. Indeed Ayomikun, ayo si kun inu mi,” Alabi wrote.
She went on to praise her daughter for the woman and mother she has become, saying, “My beautiful, strong girl @the_Ayomikunalabi_ I am so proud of the woman and mother you have become. Welcome to the world, my darling grandchild, I have dreamt of holding you for so long and now I’m showering you with kisses as I watch you grow.”
Addressing the baby, Alabi described her new role as a grandmother as her favourite, adding, “Being your grandma is my new favourite role. Big congratulations to the Bantales.”
