A veteran journalist formerly of The Punch, Olufemi Odugbose, has been reported dead this Thursday morning.
A principled Journalist, Author and Publisher, he served as Private Secretary to the first civilian Governor of Ogun State, Late Chief Bisi Onabanjo.
Family arrangements indicated that his remains would be laid to rest in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, on Saturday January 31 after a wake at his Ago-Iwoye residence tomorrow, Friday, January 30th.
He is survived by his wife, four children and many grandchildren.
Odugbose worked in The Punch as Sub-Editor for many years and rose to the post of Deputy Chief Sub-Editor before he resigned in 1999.
Thereafter, he co-founded Treasure Weekly in Abeokuta, Ogun State, in 1999.
He had previously worked in the Nigerian Tribune as a Reporter and Sub-Editor before joining veteran journalist Chief Tola Adeniyi to edit The Stamp and Naked World, newspapers published in the early 1980s.
