SaharaReporters Publisher and former Presidential Candidate, Omoyele Sowore, caused commotion when he engaged in open confrontation during his visit to Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife.
In a video shared by Sahara TV, Sowore revealed that he was kept waiting for over 3 hours at the monarch’s palace. When the Ooni finally arrived, courtiers instructed him to prostrate as tradition demands.
But Sowore wasn’t having it.
He grabbed the mic and asked loudly:
“Prostrate for what? You kept me waiting for 3 hours!”
According to him, respect should go both ways — and that moment sparked a wave of reactions online.
