Plateau Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo Warns Gumi On Threatening US Missionary Alex Barbir
Plateau-based pastor Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo has issued a firm warning to Islamic Cleric Sheikh Abubakar Gumi for allegedly threatening a US missionary Alex Barbir amid the Palm Sunday killings of about 40 people by terrorists in Jos, Plateau State.
Speaking while on a visit to the scene, Dachomo accused Gumi of circulating the American’s photograph in order to attract killers to the missionary.
Barbir has been vocal on social media as a voice against Christian genocide perpetrated by terrorists in Nigeria and has been marshalling private resources for rebuilding destroyed communities in the Middle Belt.
Dachomo said: “Gumi, let me tell you, Alex Barbir is far better than you. He’s with us, and you are not. You are used to bargaining money from the federal government to compensate terrorists, while Alex is here tending to the wounds of those affected by the same people you are giving money to and negotiating for.
“What sort of religion is that? What sort of religion? So now you put his picture everywhere so your terrorist people can track and kill him?
“Let me tell you, mark my words, if anything happens to Alex, I assure you in the name of the Lord, I will make sure you never know peace. And I am ready to face you.”
