ADC Ex-Chairman Ralph Nwosu Says Ruling APC Offered Him Huge Bribe To Deny David Mark And Trouble Party

Former All African Congress ADC National Chairman Ralph Nwosu says Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress APC offered him inducements to deny David Mark executive he handed over the opposition party to.

Nwosu said in an interview recently that although he rejected the bribe, it could be the motivation for his former ADC Deputy National Chairman Nafiu Bala to embark on sowing the seeds of confusion in ADC.

Ralph Okey Nwosu is the Founder and the pioneer National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

He submitted: “I was offered a very big bribe by members of APC to sabotage the emergence of the David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola leadership in the party, but I turned it down out of a commitment of ny legacy and belief in democratic institution building.

“Before my former ADC Deputy National Chairman Nafiu Bala was compromised by this same evil doers from APC seeking a one party system to challenge the David Mark leadership in court, Bala had personally travelled across the Northwest and Northeast to persuade opposition leaders to adopt the ADC as their coalition platform ahead of 2027.”

During a recent interview, Nwosu expressed deep confusion over why some members are now fighting the party’s new direction.

Nwosu revealed that the party held over five major meetings within eight months before dissolving the National Working Committee (NWC).

According to him, this process eventually led to a new team, including David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, taking over the party’s affairs to ensure stability.

According to Nwosu, the former Deputy National Chairman, Nafiu Bala, was fully involved in these arrangements.

He noted that Bala even travelled across the Northeast and Northwest to convince other leaders to support the new coalition.

The shock for many party members came when Bala headed to court on September 2 to challenge the same process he helped build.

“He was one of the prominent people throughout; he came to all the meetings,” Nwosu stated, adding that it is puzzling to see someone turn around against a system they actively supported.
