Primate Ayodele Poses Question: Tinubu, EFCC, Are You Really Fighting Corruption And You Allowed Suspects To Contest Primaries?
Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, has posed a critical question to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the president of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, if indeed they are fighting corruption.
Primate Ayodele who was speaking to journalists on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in Lagos said it was quite incomprehensible that a government fighting corruption allowed someone who had financial crime case of billions of Naira to be cleared to run for elective position.
He asked, “Is EFCC telling me that nobody in this Tinubu government has stolen money? How do you allow somebody who has stolen about N800 billion to run again?
“Tinubu, are you sure you are fighting corruption, be sincere? Not that I want to ask you, it is a question from God?
“Do you think you are fighting corruption, do you deserve second term?
“That is the question the Lord said I should ask Tinubu.
“And those who want to vote, I am not against him oo, but what God says I should go and say it, I will say it.”
