NANS Exposes Schools In NELFUND Students Loan Double-Tuition Fraud (SEE FULL LIST)

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has published a list of institutions it claims received duplicate tuition payments from both the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) and the affected students and failed to make refunds to the benefitting scholars.

Spread across universities, polytechnics and colleges of education and the country’s six geopolitical zones, the schools were accused of failing to reimburse students who had settled their tuition fees before NELFUND later disbursed the same payments on their behalf to the schools.

A statement Wednesday by NANS President, Akinteye Babatunde Afeez, said the list was intended to promote transparency, accountability and to ensure that affected students receive the refunds due to them without further delay.

The institutions listed by NANS are:

NANS urged the listed institutions to speed up the refunding, warning that students who paid their tuition before NELFUND disbursements should not be made to bear unnecessary financial burdens.a
