Osun Election Proves 2027 Is Winnable By Opposition, Says ADC’s Owokoniran
The outcome of the Osun governorship election has once again demonstrated that no political party is unbeatable when the people are determined to exercise their democratic power, says Hon. Rahman Owokoniran, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Rahman called on Nigerians desiring change to remain hopeful and actively participate in the 2027 elections, according to a statement issued on Sunday.
“The lesson from Osun is clear, Nigerians have the power to change their political destiny. We must not surrender to fear, apathy or the belief that any government is unbeatable,” he said.
He urged ADC members to return to the grassroots, strengthen structures and mobilise across every ward and polling unit.
“ADC must start now. Our victory will come through unity, credible candidates, grassroots mobilisation and the protection of every legitimate vote,” Owokoniran said.
He assured Nigerians that ADC stood ready to provide a credible national alternative with Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi, and called on Nigerians to join the movement for a better Nigeria.
He said: “The message from Osun is simple, change is possible. ADC is ready, and together with Nigerians, we can rescue our nation in 2027.”
