Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has revealed that the coup attempt against the government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has some foreign hand in it.
Primate Ayodele made the revelation on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, while addressing journalists in Lagos.
He added that Government should look into it.
The man of God further urged the Chief of Defence Staff and his counterpart, the Chief of Army Staff to collaborate with retired Generals to avert further coup.
Ayodele also appealed to the Department of Security Service to work with former directors of the DSS for effective collaboration.
He said, “This coup that happened, don’t you think that there was an international hand in that aborted coup?
“The government should look into that very well.
“Then let both Chief of Defence Staff and the Chief of Army Staff work on all retired Generals, Colonels, work with them.
“Likewise the DSS, the DSS should work with all former directors, if they do that it would really help a lot. Don’t neglect them.
“Don’t neglect them, the retired officers, don’t neglect them,” he said.
