Rising Reserves, Shrinking Livelihoods
(In response to Hon. Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy)
While foreign reserves have increased, the reality for most Nigerians tells a different story. Purchasing power has collapsed, wages remain stagnant, and poverty is deepening.
Economic success cannot be measured by numbers alone. A nation is not “turning the corner” if its people are still struggling to afford food, transport, and shelter. Growth must reflect in the quality of life not just in fiscal reports.
