Says It Shouldn’t Be In Hands Of States
Founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to establish Forest Guards to secure the nation’s forests
Primate Ayodele stated this at Seme area of Lagos on Friday, September 12, 2025
He said that the Forest Guards must be the responsibility of the federal government, and not states for it to be effective.
Primate Ayodele stated that Forest Guards would safeguard the forests.
He said, “Let the government adopt Forest Guards in order to prevent kidnapping and banditry.
“It must be Federal Government project,
“Forest guards must not be left to the states, so that Forest guards can be of help in order to stabilise the security of the country.
“Federal Government must take the case of Forest Guards seriously.
“Forest Guards will contribute significantly in the stability of the security in the country,” Primate Ayodele said.
