The communiqué was delayed to honour and pray for the repose of the soul of our Late President, General Muhamadu Buhari as directed by our National Chairman, Senator David Mark.

THE COMMUNIQUÉ

The Leadership and selected political influencers across the 20 Local government Council Areas of Lagos met today and resolved as follows:

  1. That we reject the local council elections held across Lagos state on Saturday July 12, 2025, being illegal and unconstitutional; held in vagrant disrespect and shameful disobedience to the ruling of the supreme court in a case instituted by the APC itself.

2) We urge all well meaning Nigerians to stand up and defend Nigeria’s democracy by joining to reject this barbaric violation and the attempt to dislocate our hard earned democracy

3) We are ashamed that the PDP as opposition connived with APC to validate the election, by participating and refusing to see anything wrong in this awful act of illegitimacy. We are not surprised that Lagosians don’t go out to vote anymore because they didn’t trust that their votes would count.

  1. We heartily commend H.E Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON , H.E Peter Obi and other coalition partners for coming together in an uncommon show of patriotism, selflessness and unquestionable commitment to the emancipation of our people and the building of a greater Nigeria. We urge them not to be distracted by antics of unsolicited divisive campaigners.
  2. We congratulate our National Chairman (Sen. David Mark), National Secretary and Southwest leader (Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola) and our own coalition leader in Lagos, (Hon. Rahman Owokoniran) and the entire coalition leadership. We also congratulate our State Chairman, Engineer George Ashiru for being retained as Lagos State Chairman by the National working committee.
  3. We unanimously pass vote of confidence on the leadership of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Hon. Rahman Owokoniran and George Ashiru. We trust that collectively, with other notable leaders still signing up, they will lead us to victory in Lagos State in particular and Nigeria in general.

CONCLUSION

We resolved from this day forward that we shall change the face of Lagos politics. Opposition shall be vibrant, robust and very engaging.

We shall begin a massive reorientation of Lagosians to their voting rights and power.

Era of the ruling Party in Lagos State using government machineries and state powers to intimidate voters, especially nonindegines is now completely over with the inauguration of ADC influencers.
