Social media is buzzing with reactions after famous Nigerian TikToker Peller, 20, was seen crying profusely in a viral video and vowing to kill himself, while lamenting the end of his relationship with his online girlfriend and fellow content creator, Jarvis, 26.
He was subsequently hospitalised after he deliberately crashed his car on Sunday along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos during an Instagram live session that badly damaged his newly purchased Benz.
Shedding tears as he drove behind the steering wheel on Sunday afternoon, Peller, 20, lamented that his mother had previously warned him about dating a “Benin girl,” but he had turned deaf ears to the woman’s counsel.
The live stream showed him tearfully muttering: “Thank you, everybody. I love you guys.
“I’m scared, I don’t want to harm anybody.
“I will do this by myself, I will kill myself.
“My body is shaking.”
After a few moments, the video went fuzzy and he let out a scream as the Benz crashed.
Some reports alleged he had earlier sent an associate to buy a bottle of Sniper for him, but this one refused, apparently sensing what was going on.
Popular Nigerian influencer, Tunde Ednut, reacted, writing on his Instagram page: “So wait, so na because of Jarvis him been wan kpai himself? Wow. I don’t like this kind of behaviour Ooo! This is not good at all. Because of woman? Peller needs to be stopped from driving because of this incident before him go harm other people on the road. This is not acceptable.”
Fellow content creator Gehgeh also released a video to say that he had been around the two lovers did not feel comfortable, chiding Peller for attempting to kill himself over a woman.
Another reaction from an associate said hanging around Jarvis and Peller, he found their relationship was highly toxic.
