Arise TV Anchor Person, Rufai Oseni, has reacted to a story on social media that he sneaked out of an event in Lagos after being confronted by Diaspora Commission boss, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa that he called her a tribal bigot.

Dabiri had some months back reacted to multiple laugh 😂 emojis to a tweet that called Igbo people apes.
Twitter Boils Over Tinubu Aide Abike Dabiri’s Reaction To Tweet Calling Igbo Gorillas
Narrating their encounter this week in Lagos, Oseni said he stood his ground when Dabiri drew his attention to the episode, but had to leave the event early due to a clashing engagement elsewhere.
TYPICAL SOCIAL MEDIA REPORT OF THE EVENT
There was a brief moment of mild drama at “THE ETHICS OF GOVERNANCE” event held at Eko Hotels on the 23rd of October.
Rufai Oseni, who arrived late to join the panel session on “The Ethics of Governance,” delivered his remarks and proceeded to greet some of the guests, including Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa. She then asked him about a post Rufai shared months ago on X (formerly Twitter), and other platforms maliciously claiming that Abike Dabiri referred to Igbos as “monkeys and gorillas,”
Hon. Abike Dabiri confronted him, and Rufai denied knowledge of anything damaging , Hon Dr Abike asked him if he knew that the offensive statements were actually made by an account named “Voice of Igbo,” allegedly owned by a lady who resides in Lagos which used derogatory terms such as “mother ape,” “bigot,” and other insults against her. , to which another Twitter user replied the lady who calls herself “ Voice of Igbo “ on twitter Rufai claimed he was not aware of this information
Abike Dabiri pointed out that, as a journalist with Arise Television, Rufai should not rely on unverified sources or platforms known for misinformation. Despite Rufai’s attempts to explain himself to other dignitaries present—such as John Momoh and Mahmud Alli Balogun—insisting he did not personally make any defamatory statements, the atmosphere became tense.
As Abike Dabiri began her panel session, Rufai Oseni, appearing visibly uncomfortable, quietly stepped away from the venue.
RUFAI TWEETS
As usual the band of lies will lie. The facts are there I simply showed what was on my phone to Madam Dabiri and I will post the facts again here.
Madam Dabiri saw the facts for herself.
I didn’t run off I had other engagements as I have finished my panel session.
In my engagement with Madam Dabiri, the truth came off when I showed her the facts of what people’s gazette posted which she even called people’s gazette @GazetteNGR tissue paper. I even showed my other tweets where I condemned abuses against her but she will never acknowledge that because as she stated it was malice against her ( which is false).
All the facts are there!
Then I showed her where I stated that I don’t believe in people being abused! She also asked for my number to discuss afterwards she went to her panel session and I had other engagements to answer to.
In my exchange Madam Dabiri said you know you are influential and you and Tunde Ednut have so much power and I replied saying I posted what people’s gazette reported, then she called people’s gazette tissue paper. She then explained how she was trolled!
My questions! I challenge all to bring out a tweet where I ever abused Madam Dabiri!
I challenge the data boys and their associates to show my tweets concerning the matter
There were witnesses there and my messages are succinct.
Propaganda doesn’t evade facts.
