Many times you get angry because you are called a bigot. It is oftentimes because you do not understand the meaning beyond the fact that “bigot” sounds close to “idiot”.

In the real sense if we truly understand the meaning and definition of bigotry, we appreciate the thin line separating it from idiocy.

What does it mean to be a bigot?

Bigotry is an unyielding mindset that only what is yours can be good enough.

If a wrong is right by virtue of the fact that it is committed by your own that is bigotry.

If a right must be wrong because it is done by the one who is not of your own stock that is bigotry.

Examples of bigotry:

Tribal bigotry is when one believes and justifies blindly that whatever wrong is done by anyone of his own race or tribe must be right.

The tribal bigot believes that any right done by any person of another tribe other than his own must be wrong and finds justification even where none exists for that baseless stance.

When anyone of another faith cannot be good or correct no matter the amount of right they have done except they are members of your own faith, that makes you a religious bigot.

Professional bigotry exists as well and so are many others!

In other words, bigot is an idiot who is fixated in a cocoon of self delusion and set to condemn everything right as wrong or anything wrong as right as long as the perpetration is by one with who he shares blood, faith, affection or affiliation.

You can then ask yourself in your own closet, “Am I a bigot?”

Once you fit into the definition of being a bigot then you accept you are an idiot.

Just think of it, what else qualifies one more for the title “idiot” than being a bigot?
