Incumbent Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has won a second term by an overwhelming landslide majority of votes in Saturday’s Anambra State governorship election.
His victory was officially confirmed by the announcement of results from all 21 local government areas (LGAs) by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to INEC, a total of 584,054 votes were collated across the state, and Soludo polled 422,664 votes.
He maintained a decisive lead over his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 99,445 votes.
Other candidates include the ADC with 8,208 votes and the PDP with 1,401 votes.
