Officers of the Department of the State Services (DSS), today Monday, arrested the President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero.
Ajaero was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, while processing boarding arrangements for his flight to the United Kingdom on official assignment.
Ajaero was on his way to the Trade Union Congress conference in London, which begins today.
He had been invited for a second chat with the police after he missed last Thursday’s appointment what eh Force.
According to the police, Ajaero was being investigated for terrorism financing, apart from other charges.
