Their family has announced the service of songs for three brothers who died after being trapped in the fire that gutted the Great Nigeria Insurance House in Balogun, Lagos.

Three Omatu brothers –Stephen Onyeka, Casmir Nnabuike and Collins Kenechukwu– perished with several other souls who did not make it out alive.
Their service of songs holds tomorrow, Jan. 7, 2026.
According to reports, the brothers are orphans, now survived by two sisters and two brothers – one of whom is a Catholic Reverend Father.
The fire raged for a couple of days after it began on Wednesday, Dec. 24, trapping traders.
It also resulted in the collapse of a building which further trapped more people who were evacuating their goods.
Lagos State’s Governor Babajide Sanwo–Olu has said the razed building would be demolished along with some neighbouring houses affected by the fire.
