Nigerian hip-hop star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has shelled out a cash gift of N20 million to Singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, for defeating Rapper Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing contest at the weekend in Lagos.
Speed Darlington has been at loggerheads with Burna Boy in an issue that attracted the police.
Police locked up Speed Darlington, who had taken to social media to allege Burna Boy had gay relationships with American Rapper, Shawn ‘Diddy’ Combs, to secure a Grammy award.
Portable and Darlington’s highly publicised match, dubbed “Chaos In The Ring,” was held on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos.
Portable emerged the winner by TKO after Speed Darlington refused to come out of his corner some moments into their first round.
The Rapper sustained a shoulder injury during the match and had to be assisted into an ambulance after the fight.
Confirming the generous gesture, Portable shared news of the cash gift through the Insta-stories section of his verified Instagram account.
He wrote, “N20million from Burna Boy, if you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu. God bless your family.”
