Muslims have expressed anger over what they have termed as Nancy Isime’s disrespectful portrayal of the Hijab, women’s covering, in a yet-to-be-released movie, “Three Working Days.”
They have flocked the social media, calling on the producer to delete the offensive scenes, while equally calling the attention of the Nigerian Film and Videos Censors Board (NFVCB).
According to them, the regulator should ensure protection of religious symbols from ridicule in the name of arts.
“This film is satanic. It is Islamophobia taken to the highest level,” said the Muslim rights group, MURIC, which demanded the banning of the movie, where Isime and others wore Hijabs and Niqabs.
