Primate Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Nigeria, has declared prophetically that no military coup would succeed in Tinubu’s government.
Primate Ayodele stated this while addressing journalists in Lagos this weekend.
He said people including some retired Generals are involved in plans to bring the government down, but added that they would not succeed.
He said that the good news is that a new Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) who would coordinate well has been appointed, and there is no cause for alarm.
Primate Ayodele therefore urged the government to be watchful and focused.
“I know they are still planning, but it will not work.
“We have a good CDS now, who will coordinate properly.
“And I can say it all and all, coup cannot work in this government. Government must not relent, all hands must be on deck. I know some people are still angry, some retired Generals are involved and they are also planning to bring the government down.
“So the government must be watchful and focused,” he said.
