The Court of Appeal has thrown out a petition by a hotelier Dr. Ramon Adedoyin, the Founder of Oduduwa University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, sentenced to death by hanging, alongside two others, in May 2023.

The appellate court’s Akure Division, sitting in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Thursday, dismissed the appeal for lack of merit and upheld the judgement of Justice Oyebola Ojo of Osun State High Court which found Adedoyin and two others guilty of murder.

Adedoyin was arrested in 2021 following the death of Adegoke Timothy, a postgraduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, who was killed at Adedoyin’s hotel, Hilton Hotel, Ile-Ife.
