Founder and Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Lagos, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has awoken the president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the importance of sound economic policies.
He said when the economy is sound, issues of security would be half solved.
He impressed it on the President that he must not use economic policies to weaken his own economy.
Primate Ayodele urged the president to support the local and home manufacturers, stating that the high rate of the dollars is not responsible for inflation, and that issue of inflation is domiciled in how the local products are managed.
He also encouraged the president to assign more economic management duties to some of the members of his cabinet and to listen to his economic Advisers, even though the stated that not all the economic Advisers understand economic management that would impact positively on the economy.
He said, “Don’t use some economic policies that will weaken your economy.
“If he wants to turn the economy around Tinubu should give his ministers more responsibilities, so that he can achieve what he wants to achieve in terms of Security.
“And of course, when there is security there will be no inflation.
“Famine, inflation and scarcity of food is coming. Tinubu you should effect economic balancing, listen to some of your key ministers in your cabinet.
“Listen to your economic Advisers in order for you to move the nation forward economically.
“However not all the advisers understand what they will put in the economy to flourish, that will bring success to the economy.
“As it is now encourage home manufacturers, encourage local manufacturers
“Meanwhile it is not dollars that create inflation in Nigeria. It is our own products bringing our problem.
“Don’t increase bank deposit and withdrawal VATs, otherwise you will weaken the economy and weaken your government,” Ayodele stated.
