Former Edo State’s Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu has donated his campaign secretariat office to his party’s rival All Progressives Congress (APC), Governorship Candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo and Running Mate, Hon Dennis Idahosa.
Shaibu had run for Governor under the state’s ruling People’s Democratic Party, PDP, but fell out with his principal, leading to the impeachment.
Located along Airport Road, Benin City, the campaign office had served as the headquarters of the Philip Shaibu Campaign Organization, until his impeachment as Deputy Governor to Godwin Obaseki.
He donated several Sienna cars, as well a campaign music trucks.
He also collapsed his Philip Shaibu campaign structure into that of the APC candidate’s.
It was gathered that the former Deputy Governor took the steps when he received members of the APC Campaign Council led by its Director General, Senator Matthew Urhoghide, on a visit to the Philip Shaibu Campaign office.
His campaign office has been rebranded.
All branding bearing Shaibu’s pictures and the PDP logo had been removed and replaced with that of the APC and Okpebholo/Idahosa.
