Nick Imudia, former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Konga, a leading e-commerce platform in Nigeria, has reportedly died by suicide.
He last operated as the CEO of D.Light, a residential solar energy solutions company.
Confirming the news, the Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos State, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the incident happened on Tuesday, June 25.
Imudia reportedly jumped to death from the balcony of his apartment in Lekki area in Lagos Island.
Before making the jump, he was said to have called his brother based in the United States to give instructions on how to distribute his wealth should anything happen to him.
He was also said to have reached out to his young daughter from a previous relationship, telling her he would always be there for her and that she only needed to look in the sky to see him.
His friends, family, and associates have been thrown into mourning following the unfortunate incident.
Imudia hailed from Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
His previous married to the mother of his young daughter, who is also from the same local government, hit the rock over supposedly irreconcilable differences.
Writing on his Linkedin profile, Imudia called himself Business Leader, Technology Leader, Sales Exec for Solar Products.
