Former Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa scoring brace on Sunday as Kano Pillars floored Sunshine Stars 2-0.

Sunday’s victory moves Kano Pillars to seven points in five matches.

It was a loud return for Musa’s return to the Nigerian Premier Football League ((NPFL) after the former Leicester City player returned to Nigeria to play for his early-days club Kano Pillars for the third time.

The former Super Eagles Captain opened scoring against the Akure Gunners just after five minutes.

He doubled the lead in the 51st minute.

He was denied a third goal as a Sunshine’s Ogechukwu Ogbu deliberately stopped the goal-bound ball with his hand and Musa went on to put the resulting penalty against the bar.

Musa, 31, is returning for his third stint with the club, having previously played for Pillars from 2009 to 2010 and briefly in 2021.
