Today promises to be tough as two factions of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) schedule separate meetings for the headquarters in Abuja, Wadata House.
Sequel to an earlier meeting called by loyalists to the Federal Capital Territory (FTC) Minister, Mr. Nyesom Wike, for today November 18 at the same venue, the Kabiru Turaki, newly-elected as National Chairman PDP in Ibadan at the weekend, and his fellow executives, say they will be convening at the same venue.
Turaki led the executives on a visit to the Police High Command in Abuja on Monday and announced their inaugural meeting at the headquarters for today Tuesday.
“Nothing will stop us from holding our inaugural meeting at Wadata Plaza tomorrow,” he said.
During the visit on Monday, Turaki submitted a petition to the Police Force, against now-expelled National Secretary of the PDP, Sam Anyanwu, and those described as “other saboteurs.”
The Turaki-led PDP earlier announced that it would be holding its inaugural NWC meeting as well as an Emergency Stakeholders meeting tomorrow, to review the National Convention in Ibadan.
