Edo State’s Governor Monday Okpebholo has assigned portfolios to newly sworn-in six commissioners in the State Executive Council.
The six new commissioners, recently cleared by the Edo State House of Assembly, were on Monday sworn-in by Governor Okpebholo at the Government House, in Benin City.
The new commissioners and their portfolios are:
- Hon. Paul Nosayaba Ohonbamu- Ministry of Information and Communications
- Hon. Dr. Washington Osa Osifo – Ministry of Water Resources and Energy
- Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu – Ministry of Education
- Sir (Dr.) Lucky Eseigbe – Ministry of Local Government and Cmhieftaincy Affairs
- Mr. Andrew Ijegbai – Ministry of Mining
- Barr. Marie Olabisi Idaomi – Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
According to a statement on Tuesday by Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government, the six commissioners were asked to resume at their various ministries with immediate effect.
