Gunmen Kill Retired General In Abuja

The police have launched a manhunt for the murder of a Retired Brigadier General Uwem Harold Udokwe in his Abuja home at the Federal Capital Territory FCT.

FCT Police Command said the retired Army Brigadier General was brutally murdered in his home Saturday by gunmen.

According to the statement, police suspected the killers to be armed robbers.

The statement signed by FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, said the victim was killed at his Sunshine Homes Estate at about 3am on Saturday.

Adeh said the FCT Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth C. Igweh, had “ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding this regrettable event”.
