Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mrs. May Agbamuche-Mbu, today presided over the Commission’s weekly meeting, with preparations for the upcoming Anambra State Governorship Election dominating the agenda.
The meeting, held at the INEC headquarters in Abuja, served as a critical strategic session to review the Commission’s readiness for the crucial governorship poll in Anambra State.
Beyond the immediate focus on Anambra, the Commission also initiated forward-planning for a series of forthcoming elections for the 2026 Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, as well as the Governorship Elections in Osun and Ekiti States.
