LAGOS ON MY MIND
I have followed news emanating from PDP lately with sadness and disappointment.
Sadness for high level and inexplicable betrayals coloured with grave display of treacherous defections smacked by lack of patriotism amongst high net worth PDP members.
Disappointment because the Party, our PDP, is becoming or now being made a destiny trap for sincere individuals who truly want to contest and win elections, those who want to make glorious future in the service of humanity in our fatherland.
CRY THE BELOVED PARTY!
We must not continue to deceive ourselves, entire PDP is now in WIKE’s hand. If you are in doubt, google Governor Fintiri’s speech during WIKE’s reception in Bayelsa. (Fintiri is Chairman PDP Convention Committee)
That is why you will see unbelievable decamping from unusual quarters. The belief of some of the high profile decampee is that it is better to directly fall into the hand of Tinubu, where you would enjoy more funding, security of office and protection, than remain in PDP and eventually fall into the hand of Wike and his cronies who have perfected plans to render PDP (Party & Members) immobile untill 2031.
Can’t you see that history is repeating itself? Check from 2002, Alliance for Democracy members began to decamp to PDP, they came in droves and sent original PDP members into wilderness of confusion. In Lagos, Funso Williams, Seye Ogunlewe, Musiliu Obanikoro etc. they became champions of PDP and the original PDP leaders went under and scattered. The rest is history.
So we should wish our men decamping good luck because those who came here too enjoyed good luck. (This should however not include impostors and spoilers who pretended to be Party men and came to ruin our chances).
LAGOS ON MY MIND
I believe at this juncture, sincere and service minded PDP members should concentrate on Lagos, how to break the 25 year old jinx!
Instead of talking back at Wike who has become a grand master of … why not think about how to break the jinx of failure for which he taunts us?
We cannot wait any further to decide on the way forward. Our PDP in Lagos is too weak to be further weakened before 2027.
We cannot continue to deceive ourselves or be deceived that the people will automatically vote for our Party because they hate APC, No, they will rather siddon look.
We must navigate the way forward, SHOULD WE JOIN THE NATIONAL COALITION ?SHOULD WE INITIATE OUR OWN LAGOS COALITION? OR SHOULD WE CONTINUE TO RENEW OUR HOPE ON UNFOLDING PDP DRAMA?
I suggest we hold a conference soonest to determine the rescue of our Party and future in Lagos politics.
