The Lagos leadership and working committee of the Alliance for Progressive Congress (APC) has commended Lagos prominent politician, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as JANDOR for his political style.
The committee also appreciates the political liveliness he brought into the state’s polity, even when he was in the opposition party.
It would be recalled that Adediran, who contested for the governorship position of Lagos state under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023 election has recently defected to the APC.
The working committee states: “We commend Adediran for his resilience, clarity of purpose, and the undeniable energy he brought to the political arena during his time in the opposition”.
Reflecting on his return to APC, the working committee states that, most of the APC stalwarts of the state and at the national level has admitted that his influence during the last election was deeply felt.
According to the press briefing and statement signed by his spokesman, Mr. Gbenga Ogunleye, the working committee has described Adediran as a politician, who has “consistently kept us awake. JANDOR challenged the status quo and reminded us all that leadership is earned through action, not entitlement.
“His passion for Lagos, even from the other side of the divide, was never in doubt.
“We welcome JANDOR not just as a returning member, but as a valued partner in our shared mission to build a greater Lagos. As a founding member of the APC, his energy, insights, and grassroots connection will strengthen our ranks as we move forward together.”
Dr. Adediran’s rejoining of the APC is seen as a strategic and unifying move that reaffirms the party’s position as a broad-based coalition of progressive minds committed to good governance and people-centered development, the working committee added.
