Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly have rejected Mudashiru Obasa, who today Thursday stormed the Parliament buildings claiming he had returned as the Speaker.
Speaking with journalists at the assembly complex, the lawmakers reaffirmed their support for Mojisola Meranda, who they insisted remained in the post of Speaker.
According to them, the current imbroglio, with security agents backing Obasa, robbed them of dignity as honourable members of the House representing the people of Lagos, “the Centre of Excellence.”
They said they were open to dialogue instead of some identified authorities keeping them in the dark.
